MCA of Memphis

Our History

The Mechanical Contractors Association of Memphis, Inc. was first incorporated in Tennessee in 1925 as the Memphis Master Plumbers Protective Association and has since evolved into its current form, which includes the Sheet Metal Contractors Association of Memphis, - established in 2001.

The Association represents its member contractors and other affiliated contractors in the West Tennessee area and is charged with maintaining working relations with three local unions, Plumbers Local Union #17, Steamfitters Local Union #614, and Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #4, who represent member's contractors, craft workers.

The Mechanical Contractors Association of Memphis and the Sheet Metal Contractors Association of Memphis represent members in labor negotiations, employee fringe benefit matters, as well as matters that benefit the industry as a whole. MCAM and MSMCTA members also work with the state and local regulatory agencies and serve on various Boards that regulate the installation of plumbing, piping and ventilation systems in the Memphis market.
