Membership

Membership in the MCA of Memphis and MSMCA is open to those companies that contribute local industry improvement funds established as part of the collective bargaining agreements established with our three local craft unions. In turn, those members are automatically enrolled in membership in the nationally affiliated groups: the Mechanical Contractors Association of America and the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association, thereby giving a voice in not only local but national issues affecting the mechanical trades industry.

Membership in the local Associations includes payment of National dues through the local industry funds. Local Association members serve on committees covering everything from labor negotiations, the developing mechanical service industry, to local industry codes.

The Associations, together, allow small businesses to be part of a larger and ever expanding industry and to protect the interests of not only their company but also their fellow contractors. There is credence to the old adage "safety in numbers."
